    Hi all,

I was wondering if there is a way to have two IP configurations on a NT4 laptop. The thing is I log on to a network at work with DHCP, and at home I also have a small network, but with static adresses.

    NT4 work:

    IP & mask: DHCP
    DNS1: 138.203.xxx.xx
    DNS2: 138.203.xx.xx
    Domain Suffix Search order:
    god.xxx.xxxxxx.be
    net.xxxxxx.be

    XP:
    IP 10.0.0.1
    mask: 255.0.0.0

    2K
    IP 10.0.0.2
    mask: 255.0.0.0

Now everytime I come home, I have to go to network setting on NT, and change DHCP to 10.0.0.3, with mask 255.0.0.0 and delete the domain, DNS Servers and domain search order from TCP/IP Settings. I find it pretty annoying, becouse evevry morning, I have to fill in the gaps to connect to the network.

I found out recently that it's not nesecary to change the workgroup/domain setting. I leve the name from my home network workgroup, and when I log on to a pc on the domain @work, I just type domainname/username. But still it is pretty annoying to change all the setttings again when I get home.

I hope I'm making any sense...

    Thnx

    Lukas

This might be the way to go for you:

    http://www.netswitcher.com/

It's a utility that will let you go from one set of LAN config settings to another via a menu. I haven't used it, but I have heard it's pretty good.
