norton 2002 update error

im trying to use liveupdate with norton 2002 but it gives me an error while downloading the "Norton Antivirus 2002 Program Update". it downloads perfectly, but when it tries to install a little window pops up saying:

"The update was not completed.
The update process was unable to complete successfully. Please click the details button for more information."

I clicked the button and the only info i get is this:

Windows 2000 Service Pack 1

NAVNT 8.00


and thats it.

anyone know how i could go about fixin this?

It could be that you have to update to 2k4 to get the updates again .. They changed things around so that could be one of them .

It is caused when you disable the 8.3 naming convention.

To fix it you need to re-enable 8.3 naming convention and re-install your product.
