I thought there was a way to make the boot up process silent on Win XP.
I did it once but can't remember where I saw the method for it. Does Any one out there have a solution. It is mainly for my laptop so it does not wake my little 6 week old boy.

like the windows theme when you boot the PC up?
if so go to control pannel "sound and audio devices" under the 2nd tab "sounds" and then set up "no sounds" for the sound scheme. I think that should do the job.

EDIT: you can also edit what you want in the list, to start windows and exit windows to no sound, but best not to have any windows sounds just in case the kid could wake up.

I knew it was simple, just could not remember. Reps to You!! :)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
