Can anyone help me please?! I've just installed windows xp and powerdvd xp, but i don't get any playback on the dvd rom. It is a pioneer 105 and powerdvd seems to always search the a-drive.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    there's a patch on CyberLink's site.

lol...I'm still using the copy of PowerDVD 3.0 that came with my drive...and it works perfectly fine in XP.

There is also a patch on this site :p

A patch for 3.0 was also released to make it "XP compatible".

Is the DVDROM showing up in My Computer/Device Manager?
Can you read DVDs and CDs in the drive?

    Thanks Outback2K1 & Electronic Punk

I've gone back to powerdvd 3.0 and it seems to work fine - however xp gives me the occasional message that I need an up-to-date dvd decoder - hmmmm interesting - I love microsoft!!!!??

Anyway I'm away to download the latest patch for powerdvd 3.0 - thanks to both of you for taking the time to reply

Oh, almost forgot - the dvd rom is recognised in the device manager as the correct dvd drive and it reads cd's and dvd's.
