    Friends,
    Please help me out..
I got this SONY VAIO Digital studio PCVRX550 but it has caused me a hell lot of pain..
After some 15 days whenever I used to play a DVD or a CD the system used to freeze and reboot automatically..
this then even started happening when I used to open my Internet Explorer or even Windows Explorer..
Reporting trouble to Microsoft gave me a solution that I need to download the latest Drivers of NVIDIA from Microsoft Website which I did but with no success..
I even downloaded the latest drivers from NVIDIA and installed it but no success at all..
SONY Tech support (nice people) even could not figure out the problem!! Now they want to rob extra money from my pocket to send the PC back to repair( out of warranty its a refurb)
I formatted everything and freshly loaded the PC using the system recovery CD but the problem still conitues..
Could anyone amongst you help me know if the problem is with the hardware or drivers or what????
Here is the hardware details for VIdeo & Graphics
    4X AGP 3D Graphics Hardware Accelaration(nVIDIA TNT2 M64)
    32 MB Video Memory(SD RAM)
    Please !!!!!!!!!!!!
Someone amongst you can let me know what I need to do
waiting anxiously for some kind of help..

Turn off the auto reboot option in the system->advanced->startup and recovery options. Next time it will give you a blue screen error. Copy down the error and stop code that it gives you. Post that here. We can go from there.

Don't use Microsoft drivers for ANY nVidia (or any other graphics card for that matter). Go to http://www.nvidia.com/ and downloadthe latest Detonators.

Here is the error and its code

Here is the description of the problem:
The problem seem to be caused by the following file nv4_disp.
The device driver got stuck in an infinite loop . This usually indicates problem with the device itself or with the device driver programming the hardware incorrectly.
    Technical Information:
    XXXSTOP: 0x000000EA(0x80F54418,0x8127FA88,0x81332D10,
    0x00000001)

The driver version which I am using currently is 28.32 from NVIDA
website (downloaded and applied today). I also took care of Installing it by disabling by Antivirus and Internet connection. After installing it I disabled this device , started XP in a safe mode and enabled the device again. I am currently running it at 1024*768 resolution with 32 bit true color.
Let me know if you need any other help..
    Waiting anxiously ....
    Sumeet.
