New (Hehe) Mobo for Slot 1

OK. I am looking for a mobo for a slot 1 celeron 266. Needs to recognise a 256meg stick of ram. I dont know if it helps but it is single sided ram.

I'd look around for a 440bx mobo - I had one for my p3 (its now in my g/f's kids' pc) and it would do from 233mhz to about 533mhz (celeron) and upto 800mhz slot3 pentium 3.

Might be worth asking in the trading forum if anyone has one spare

Will it recognise a 256meg stick?? That is my main criteria at the moment.

yeah it will, but it MUST be PC-100 and/or single sided - I've never managed to get PC-133 working on it, but I did have a 256Mb PC-100 DIMM working fine (it still is working in the kids PC )
