Does anyone know when GTA: Vice City is coming out?
there another one coming out already !
i still gotta get GTA3 !! lol
lol, is it coming out on the PC in November or do we have to wait til six months after it comes out on the PS2?!
Oh wait... I have a PS2... YES!
Official release date is Oct. 22 2002, however, pre-orders are only available for PS2 right now, so my guess is that they might be holding the PC release back as you mentioned, which I'm not really worried about, as long as they fix the problems that plague GTA3 on PC..
what problems with GTA3 on PC, I havent had any?
The problems weren't for everyone, but they were very wide-spread, and random, I know my setup isn't the greatest for the game, but a bunch of users with high-end systems had problems as well, it's all known by R*, but from everything I've read, they were either not going to fix it, or couldn't.
The problems are poor performance basically.
I run a gf2, etc (in sig), so the game isn't the nicest, while running at 800*600, everything turned off, friend of mine has a 1.1 athlon, gf3 ti500, runs nice at high rez and everything maxed, though some with similar procs, through high-end xp's and p4s, and top-end gf3's and 4's, as well as radeons, have similar gameplay that I have.
All I can hope for is that I don't have that luck once I'm done with all my upgrades.
Well I quess you'll get maximum frames in the last city (3'rd ) cause on my computer that works great ( 1024x768 ) > No major changes for the new GTA I quess ..
Last I heard, GTA is now a PS2 only franchise. They have some licensing agreement now with sony.
GTA only for PS2!!!
I heard that $ONY has bought the license for GTA to be only made for Playstation systems, so the last GTA for PC is GTA III, , too bad, that game was awesome, and i dont think i will ever buy another game console again as long as i have a pc......
I had performance problems as well, then I read on another site about a program called 3D-Analyze v1.5. This program allows me to force GTA to software render TnL, and it's totally fine and playable. http://www.magenheimer.com/gta3help/GTA3pc_smoothness_fix.rar
Yea, I forgot all about that patch, did help me out a little bit too.
