Hey,
I have two new apps giving me issues. First off I just got Norton Antivirus 2004 up and running. So far so good but I have some ?'s about it. Now I used to use Norton 2002 and I don't think that didn't had lots of bonus apps running all the time with it .... this one does however. So far I see:
NPROTECT.exe
ccApp.exe
ccSetMgr
symlcsvc.exe
SAVScan.exe
nvsvc32.exe
Now I think NPROTECT is for the norton protected recycle bin... but I've disabled that. The others I'm clueless as too what they do. So is there anyway I can stop NPROTECT (and any other worthless apps) from running. Or at least figure out what these things are doing on my system?
2nd New app thats bothering me is PeerGuardian 1.99b_pr4. As far as I know this is the newest version of that prog but it has somehow gone form using 5 to 10 megs of RAM to using over 25 megs. I've got plenty to spare but is that really necessary?
Thanx all
