    Hmm Im not sure if this was posted before. (If it has please redirect and delete). Im in lazy mode right now:( . Can someone tell me why my network takes a minute or more to come online after booting to desktop?
    1400 P4
    WinXP Pro SP1
    256 RIMM
    Linksys LNE100TX(v5)
    BEFSR41 Router Firmware 1.43

    Id say you have your IP's done for you by XP rather than stating your own static IPS

    so that time lag is XP giving your machine an IP addy

    go to control panel>network connections>your LAN connection
    right click properties
    and change the ip addy for your TCP/IP adapter from the automated one to something like 192.168.0.1 subnet: 255.255.255.0
