.Net Passport Wizard error

I just install a fresh copy of windows xp professional edition.

I now trying to setup a new .net passport account using the wizard provide by winxp. but when the wizard try to access to internet, it always fail and a message shown "web services error".

and
i also fail to access any .net passport website such as hotmail, msn calendar....etc.....but i can access other website like yahoo, download.com and xp-erience.org easily......

does anybody know what is the problem???

... that they want you to use another OS.
