Net Gaming Speed!!

Is there anyway I can increase the speed of my Internet games (eg. counter strike) so it won't lag as much or not at all? (and can't afford cable or any sort of "expensive" equipment)...

it wont make a difference. if your playing on a modem, then you have a lot of distance to cover sending and receiving packets to the server. try using this command in the console "net_graph 1" without the quotes.

if your fps is low, its could be a combination of graphical lag and latency.

if your send/receive meter is anything but green, its definitely net lag.
