Nero compilation error?

hey guys i have afriend who's trying to burn mp3s to a cd at 16x and at about 98% done it gives him an error saying compliation error what could that be from, the cd-burner's firmware is up-to-date what else could be the problem?

sounds to me like a buffer underrun/overrun problem - you should be able to check for this by tyring a burn at 8x or 4x instead of 16x - plus I think there's a check box somewhere about how to buffer.... forget what it's called, fast writing or something - disable that too if you can.

I would look it up, but am not registering my copy of nero until I have built my new system - the one where I plan on doing my bulk of DVD editting etc....
