I have Nero 5.5 working on a P4 2.4GHz laptop running XP Home and it works OK - with one exception.

I downloaded it from the Nero Website and when I try to use the Help Files they cannot be found. Any ideas how I can retrieve them?

Also I would like to write a disk that can be used as a DOS boot disk for use with Norton Ghost. I cannot see any command to make na disk bootable as there is when formatting a floppy drive. Any ideas here?

Many thanks.

djchapple - do you have the latest version (5.5.10.20)? I ran into it in the past when I updated that for some reason not all the files were downloaded and installed and all I did was reinstall it. Once you have NERO installed, it will recognize that you are doing an upgrade and just unzip and install everything for you.

If you don't have 5.5.10.20 I would go ahead and do an updgrade download and see if that gives your Help Files to you.

The upgrade will install right over the exsisting NERO with no problem!

If you do have 5.5.10.20 - I'd just try a reinstall right over itself!
Hope this helps!

Sorry - I don't know enuf to help ya with your DOS boot disk for Ghost!

To make a bootable CD in Nero first turn off the wizard, then click on the "creates a new compilation" button. Scroll down the menu on the left side of the window and you should see a CD-Rom boot option.

Thanks to both of you for your advice.

I will check for an upgrade to see if it cures the loss of Help files.

I thought I had checked everywhere for a boot option but I had not looked on that particular list of options.

I never cease to be amazed by the amount of knowledge available on this Forum.

i had the same scenario.contacted nero & they told me to download the appropriate language pack & it solved my problem
