mySQL file for phpbb

hi everyone,

i am trying to get phpbb installed on an apache server and everything has gone smoothly up to this point. when i goto the foler on the server it asks me to confgure it and in the config it says that i need a my sql database file. the readme for the BB says that most web server programs create one but im not seeing it. it asks me for the file location the username and password. does anyone know how i can create a mysql database file ? thanks a lot

Have you worked with MySQL b4?
and do you have PhpMyAdmin or a program of that kind installed for it?

no never worked with mysql nor have i heard of myphpadmin before...

Do you have MySQL Installed?
if you do you should have set a username and password to it, then enter the usrnm and pass into phpbb , it should set up the tables and databases by itself.
