That's not too insane, depending on your connection.
i have 512kbps (downstream) and 96kbps (upstream) adsl connection...
Ok. Then it's insane
I got almost the same connection
im confused by all this internet connection stuff, i have a 1024kbs downstream (1mb connection) why do downloads only reach 125kbs max?
this stuff is confusing.
Mine goes faster! I'v downloaded at 4MB just recenty; 4MB per second...
Flatbeat_Eddy, I am guessing that your connection is 1024 kiloBITS. A byte is equal to 8 bits, so if you divide 1024 by 8, you get around 125 kilobyte connection. Hope that helps.
oh i see, anyway, How the F**K did Nick M dl @ 4mb per second?????
you'd need a 12mb+ connection to do that!
He may well have a 12mb line
Broadband / bandwidth is a heck of a lot cheaper in (insert none-uk country here) than in the UK
i'm in Malaysia and our telecom just introduced broadband (its kinda slow in term of the implementation of this technology) and well.. its quite expensive and certain location doesn't have it and we get to wait around probably half a year to get the serviceman to our house and fix the line. Its kinda s*ck.
