Music CD stops when another cd is placed

in my 2nd DVD Drive. If I'm playing a music cd in my CDROM and place another CD in the other drive my the music stutters and stops playing for a few seconds. It's driving me crazy.

CDROM - on IDE1
DVDRW - on IDE0

its partly a limitation of IDE and partly a limitation of the media player software as it checks if the new disc is audio too. If you are lucky enough to have a play button on the cd drive and don't mind not being able to pick tracks play it like that.

Otherwise I do not believe there is anything you can do about it.

hiya, did you ever fix this? ive got it happening just trying to play music from my library, every 5 seconds it pauses or stops for half a second then continues where it was, every song, every time. it does drive a person quite mad, especially when singing along!
any ideas?
