msn messenger freezes when logging in

i dont know what could have made this, but when i go on msn, it freezes just as it shows my list, and it stays there for a min, or maybe less than that. it just doesnt respond. then, after that time has passed, it works again and i get like 10 of those little windows that say

" XXXXX has come online"

i dont know why its happening, and it also freezes when i accept a web cam request.

i tried repairing it with the setup file but it doesnt work.

any ideas?

Try reinstalling it.

would reinstalling be different from repairing?
i did use the latest setupdl.exe from the messenger site...

yeah...it is different. If u uninstall it would get rid of all the files so then u will have better succes with it bein fixed when u install it again.
