Try attaching that screenie again. I don't think it made the cut. Sounds like something we've got to track down in your options.

Outlook 2003?

do you have an antivirus installed, and when was the last time you ran it ??

you should get that dialog when you fill in an email form on a website? the form on the website uses outlook to send it, the box is for security to make sure your computer hasn't been taken over. if it just pops up then it may be infected?

this error message is saying that another program is trying to send an email through outlook. i would defintaly do a spyware and anti-virus scan. inless you have have an that needs to send the email.

BTW there is no way to disble this if you have Microsoft Outlook. If you have Outlook Express, then you can under options then Security, but this wont work woth the Microsoft Outlook.

You don't want to disable it - it's an important security measure. The box is supposed to come up only when a third-party application needs access to Outlook. For example, I get the box when the Nokia PC Suite tries to access the calendar data while synchronizing it with my cellphone.

I'd definitely run a virus and malware scan with up-to-date definitions. Seems like there's something fishy going on.

i would agree, i was just showing the difference between the 2 thats all. sorry for the confusion.

Nothing found, but doesn't outlook use WORD as its editor, couldn't this be the program trying to access my addresses?

doubtit. unless you tell word to do something, its not going to do it.

are you running Messenger? XP messenger

check your system process to see if anything out of the ordinary is running .

Yeah, post a list of your running processes. Start>Run>cmd. Type "tasklist > processes.txt" at the prompt and it should create a processes.txt file in your working directory. Copy the contents of the file here. :)

Also attache is the TXT file as it's easier to read.

First looks like you have a lot of crap installed, DAP being the worse of them.

From the looks of it you have the follwing installed:
  • Autodesk Autocad
  • Bitorrent Download client
  • McAfee Personal Firewall
  • Microsoft Office
  • Download Accelerator Plus
  • McAfee Antivirus
  • Scansoft PaperPort
  • Power Quest Partition Magic
  • Symantec Internet security suit (this could be part of Partition Magic)
  • MSN Messanger
  • Tasklist
  • Microsoft Antispyware
  • Logitech Quickcam
Now are any of these pirated ?? The reason I ask is because some of the software companies are adding little notifiers to call home. Also it looks like you may be running two security suits at the same time, McAfee and Symantec. Or you uninstalled Symantec and put mcafee in. what you can do is disable each service till you find what one it is, when you find it uninstall it. I am guessing it is autocad. I used pretty much the rest of what you have.

I might also make a suggestion. Get rid of DAP, it is a major bug house..

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
