I have just become addicted to this.

Is there any free resources out there for free additional aircraft, airports etc. Or are these types of add-ons only available through the commercial products that Microsoft sell?

    Cheers

    Try http://www.flightsim.com
There has been for years, a keen modding community for all versions of the MS Flight Simulator series. You can download free aircraft/sceneries/gauges/tools Infact pretty much everything you need.

Yes. With MS FSX, they're reintroduced missions.

http://www.surclaro.com/... though i don't know if they have fsx stuff yet, but you can import add ons from 2004 or any other version

just one question... you're playing it with an x1300?? i thought this game was ultra demanding on the hardware....

found another link: Fly Away Simulation

$5 per month subscription and you get the planes and scenery add-ons. There are some great aircraft available. Military jets, NASA prototype's and the usual commercial jets & prop-craft.

    :D
