I just finished watching this movie for the first time and I have to say, even though I felt it was going to suck, I was massively surprised.

The movie has a very obvious, cartoony feel but it just works. The story is taut, the characters well acted, the pacing is excellent and watching it on a big-screen television set, it really does rock :D

The movie is definitely long, but the 3 parts of the movie (the beginning, middle, end) are each setup well and the flash-back sequences add depth and meaning to all the characters.

Those who have watched the cartoons know the characters and some of the central themes. These have obviously been updated and they just work.

Watch it if you can :) This movie is definitely under-rated and unfortunately maligned for no good reason.

    4/5 OSNN stars.

p.s. Kids should love it, cept for all the explosions.
