Motorola Phone Tools Question--

Hi. I have a SLVR, and Motorola Phone Tools works well, all except for the multimedia studio section. The phone won't open that because the phone is loaded as a modem, and it's not "releasing" the modem as it should. Basically, the phone loads as a hard drive (which is what I need to open the multimedia section), but once I open MPT, it switches the phone to modem mode, thus not allowing me to use the multimedia tab. How can I switch it back to memory card mode? (yes, I've tried the option in the phone where I tell it to load to memory card by default)... any ideas?
