Right, Ive got my Radeon 9700 Pro, with the standard cooler, which is ok, but I wanna mod this to have the best cooling I can.

Which of the following options would you recommend.

    1) [IMG] BGA Tin plated RAM sinks.

    also with..

    2) [IMG] Crystol Orb.

    or this instead..

    3) [IMG] Zalman ZM80-HP Silent Heat pipe VGA cooler .

I dunno which to choose the orb & BGA or Zalman Heatpipe.

    Any advice??

well, with an extreme card like a 9700 pro, you might as well go with the extreme cooling. that zm80 looks pretty sweet. it's meant to be more of a silent solution, but mount a fan on/near it and it would keep things real cold.

but maybe that's overkill. maybe what i'd do is oc your card... see what it's current limits are. when you do, see if the memory is hot to the touch. sure it will be warm, but if it's actually hot, then ram sinks might be better. plus those themaltake vga coolers are pretty cheap, aren't they? i don't have any experience wih them, though.

*shrug* dunno, man. i do know that nvidia cards benefit mostly from memory overclocks rather than gpu. since nvidia is known for that, maybe ati is somewhat opposite?
