After I re-installed (repaired) XP, none of my USB ports are working. I went into "Device Manager" and checked the status box and it says that no drivers are installed. When I try to roll back, or install the driver by clicking the appropriate button, I get a message that says the drivers can't be found. Everything worked fine before the reinstallation (scanner, cameras, etc) now nothing.

Have you tried removing the items from the add/remove if they are there?
Maybe reinstall any software belonging to them.

I thought someone might reply to it, "No it's not, no it's not". :D

When I try to install my scanner (HP 4400C) it tells me to use the Parallel cable instead of the USB cable, as if it doesn't recognize that my machine has USB ports.
