ok, ive just installed the new alpha windows media player version 9....and i rebooted.

NOW, in the bottom right hand courner of my desktop it says

Windows XP Professional
For Testing Purposes Only. Build 2600


now this is nothing to do with my wallpaper, and i dont know how to get rid of it. its not an active desktop thingy.


How can I get rid of these words?

easy..just fire up reg edit and delete these:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\CA\Certificates\FEE449EE0E3965A5246F000E87FDE2A065FD89D4

Just search for it on the forum and you should come up with a thread in which everyone is bitching about WMP9.
There is a solution to your problem there.
