MaxCachedIcon

Hi guyz
i found that tweak here about MaxcachedIcon but when i applied nothing happened . i did it both ways i.e dword & string.

but first of all what does that tweak do and how can i check it

it increases the icon cache which is a file where all the icons are stored for faster access win xp sets this too low at 500 icons and when you boot or open a windows it will display the default icon which is a white square wit coloured dots while its loading which makes it look crap this tweak increases the amount of icons this cache holds so it should display the icon immediately

Ok got it.

but i have done the tweak and it doesn't work.the display takes same time as previous. what's wrong
i have tried both dword and string way
