don't worry... i already have two ibook g4s an imac g5 two powermac g3s and i'm trying to get a blueberry imac g3 and a clamshell blueberry ibook...

once the market levels out i'm going to hit the dual g5 powermacs (and a couple of apple displays to go with it)

EDIT: tell you what... an idea has occured to me- since most of you rather an intel mac over the classic PPC, I will offer FREE recycling of your G3 and higher, "outdated" macs.

I'm seriously considering getting an iMac or whatever the new iBook is going to be called for my next machine, with Boot Camp and all.

But it might be a while yet.

the boot camp is another thing... i don't think it's fair to apple to have to setup an os for apple and microsoft, you don't see microsoft bending down to anything

For apple it is an excellent marketing stunt. After boot camp came out, sales for Apple went up just a few percent, it caused a delay on my dad's new iMac he is buying for himself!

I don't think it is all to bad of a move for apple. Now people can get Mac OS X and still be able to boot into windows when there is a need for them to run Windows only applications that have not been ported to Mac OS X yet, that is an attractive deal.

Its definitely a good move, because it means that switchers will still be able to use windows for what they need while they are getting used to the Mac. It is a different experience and sometimes you just need a piece of PC software to get something done. (admittedly i haven't had that problem though)
