    Hi guys ..

I am looking for a software that would allow for me to view images (jpg, bmp, and tiff etc). I don't need to do any alteration to the images, but it would be great if it can be seen in thumbnail format. I know Win XP can do it in default, but my OS is Win 98 an Win Me .. any suggestions please?

    Thanks ..

Agreed, one of my favorite programs.
Add /thumbs to an Irfanview shortcut and it will open a thumbnail picture file explorer with many options.

If you use MS Office then you can install MS Photopaint

You can easily change the icon to a beach view or lady in bikini etc.
    Woohoo - I'm on post 1234 :)

Agreed, the only thing I don't like in Irfanview is the icon.

Changed it to a homemade one.
Leedogg, you mean just the default Windows icons? Make a reg file.

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\IrfanView.bmp\DefaultIcon]
    @="shimgvw.dll,1"

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\IrfanView.gif\DefaultIcon]
    @="shimgvw.dll,2"

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\IrfanView.jpg\DefaultIcon]
    @="shimgvw.dll,3"

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\IrfanView.png\DefaultIcon]
    @="shimgvw.dll,2"

You can add other file types if you like.
If you want custom icons that would look like

    example:
    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\IrfanView.bmp\DefaultIcon]
    @="D:\\Graphic files\\Icons\\bmp.ico"

    (use double backslashes)
