    hi guys

i have a logitech quickcam 3000. i have just updated to a new version software 7, and i wanting to go back to 6 but when i uninstall version 7 and the drivers and try to install version 6 -it keeps on saying that i have version 7 installed and need to uninstall first.

anybody know what else i need to uninstall to do a clean install of version 6

Did you uninstall through Add/Remove programs? Doing so should have removed everything. Try going into device manager, looking under imaging devices. If the camera is still there, right click and uninstall. Unplug the camera from USB, and reboot.

Then try again. Although, I don't see why you would want to downgrade. 7.x is much improved over 6.x.

Try reinstalling image studio, then unplug your cam before you uninstall image studio.

If that doesn't work, try unplugging the cam, go into device manager and remove the cam, uninstall image studio, do a search for anything logitech in the registry and delete it (make sure you backup your registry first), reboot, install the software you want to use and follow the setup instructions. If you have any other logitech devices you might have to reinstall them if you deleted registry entries that were for other logitech devices.
