Log Off Problems...

From 1 [of 3] of the user accounts, when i try to log off or shutdown from the start menu, it does not work. if i log off using the alt-cntrl-del method it does. What could the problem be? I've already ran chkdsk a couple of times and defragged.

By the way, I am using WinXP Pro, and this just happened recently.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

yea, i ran SFC and it didn't do anything. also, no, fast user switching doesn't work. i can't figure this out! oh well, i'm gonna just reinstall everything. thanks for help anyways!

if your going to run sfc from the run box then you need to do sfc /scannow

just sfc gives you the opions for it then closes the command window, all in the blink of an eye. if you run sfc from a command window then you'll be able to see the options

need more info does it just hang or bsod or does it just sit there when you click and go back to the desktop...any error messages?

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
