Lock Desktop Icons

I remember in windows 9x, they had a reg hack that locked the position of the icons on the desktop, so that next reboot they would go back to the way the was... is there anything like that for XP? a setting maybE? their is a lock web content thing, but that dont do what im lookin for...infact it just makes things look funny if you ask me... :X thanks guys.

yeah I know it makes your icons look like s***... I havent seen anything that can do wat your asking... but someone may know...

I was sorta looking for that....You could do active desktop if you are motivated.

Personally I did away with icons; they are great but time consuming.

Use this, i use it on XP and works fine:

Just put the DLL in your system 32 folder then double click the reg file then you can right click the recycle bin or my computer and save your icon layout or restore if it gets messed up.
