Lead installer or A+ Cert

How many here are A+ certified or are a Lead Installer?


Just seems like we got a few.....


So far as teh A+ cert, I have read some, I guess i don't see how knowing what a XX or XO circut is and does helps fix a winsock error or help to determine if a harddrive has failed.

Do you need to get all A+ grades in school to get the A+ certification?

If so, then I think I may be out of luck...

I just got my A+ cert and should be looking for a job instead of posting here. An A+ cert doesn't mean your the best or know all .. it's basically suppose to show that you have the basics. You learn some of the most common errors and steps to troubleshoot them. Anyhoo, A+ isn't the be all end all of computer tech., it's basically a starting point and a stepping stone on the way.

*edit*- Nothing can beat hands on when it comes to computer troubleshooting/repair. You can pass the A+ cert with little to no actually professional PC repair experience (like me).

One of teh "computer" places here in town has all the GD stickers all over.

I've had my A+ Certification since February 26th 2003, My MCP since early 2004, and I've been appointed the Lead Installer at the Deptford, NJ Circuit City.
