When i formatted my 250GB S-ATAI Drive it only allowed for 127 GB maximum in reasons? I formatted to NTFS.

And if I wanna hook up a S-ATA II HD to my PC will it work if my mobo was made originally made for S-ATA I?

    Thanks Eagle

Sounds like a hidden partition. Go control panel-->administrative tools-->computer management and look for the partition.

Or take a look at your drive with Partition Magic or Paragon.

Steevo is right, you need to install SP2 for Windows XP.

Update your HD controller, as well as go into Windows Management, and format the drive from there.
