Why not have both notices (front page & forums) for a limited time?
That way no-one will miss the info?

Just till everyone finds their feet again.
Wouldn't hurt for a week or so would it?

I didn't clue in until I saw the max. no. of posters and realized the number of and dates were all screwy. I thought I had forgotten my password and got the fifteen minute lockout after trying various versions. It's been a long time since xp-er time of registering, Perhaps a short notice in the banner beside the NTFS.org bubble.
Just an idea.
