Rogers Cable's decision to impose limits on how much Internet surfers can download in a month could trigger a price war between two of Canada's largest broadband providers.

When I first got aDSL a few yrs back, my ISP tried to do this. It was $39.95 for 5 gigs transfered (both ways, total). You could pay extra for a 20 gig plan, $59.95/mnth. Internal usage was exempt from the data usage meter. It only lasted a couple months until everyone got fed up with it and complained enough to my ISP that they got rid of the usage meter. I quite surprised there aren't alot of companies already out there that don't do this.

Considering getting broadband asap, if we can get around teh 12 month contract malarky.
