    Hi folks,
Does anyone know what makes an .iso file invalid ?

I've been trying to burn one with EasyCD 4 (''create CD from CD image''), but an error message comes up stating that it's an invalid ISO file.

Does it mean the file's corrupted, or am I simply not doing it right ?
(I haven't tried with Nero yet.)

Thanks in advance for your ideas.

Try something like WinISO, that supports alot of formats.

    Thanks
    I'll check it out.

But EasyCD does support the ISO format... Only it tells me that this is an «invalid ISO»...
    So I doubt it'll help.

    EDIT
I just had a look and WinIso seems somewhat promising.
-Problem is I can't try it until I'm back at home...

    Thanks again, rettahc

Nevertheless, if others have ideas why an iso can be invalid, I'd like to hear them.

Just because the extension is .iso dosent mean it is a standard .iso file, there are several programs that use the same extension, but are actually different formats

    AAahhh !
I see : I didn't know at all about that.

So it means the file could be perfectly alright, and simply not compatible with EasyCD ?
If that's the case, I'll try it first with the Nero and CDRwin, which are the ones I use at home.

Thanks again. -A little 'splaining does it all !

Nero seems to have done the trick : just had to change the block size.

Thanks again for the info guys. :)

I had an ISO of MSN 8, and could open it with WinRAR.
