Does anyone know why the MS Firewall Service is dependent on SQL Server Service ??? Is there any way to break that connection?

thanks
Chris

what version of ISA Server?

edit: If I were to take a guess, i would assume you have ISA setup to do it's logging into a SQL databse.

Yes it is setup to log to SQL. Which would make sense, except when SQL goes down then ISA goes down too... That's a little ridiculous.

If it's setup to use SQL for logging, then change the logging to file based or turn it off if you don't want the logging. That will remove the depenance on the SQL service.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
