just got my 9700 today and ran the 3dmark2001 test and got this score - 12225

is this a low score for my system i was thinking id atleast hit the 13000 using the drivers that came with it the 6163`s.

    asus a7v333 m/b
    768 crucial pc2700
    crucial 9700 pro
    win xp

what programs are ther out there that let me overclock my card?

Unbelievable, you tank over $300 on a video card and you want to overclock it already? Man, hate to tell you but your CPU is probably most of the bottleneck. Overclocking that card will only yield marginal results.

That score is probably near average.

well, 3Dmark doesnt tell you everything about the qualities of your video card, but I would expect you to get more than that. i've achieved 9893 with my GF4 4400, xp1900+, 512 ram 2100
Btw, the 40.72 dets are amazing.

Dont know how the hell you got that score. Ive got an Xp2100, 512 mb pc 2100, Gforce MX 440 (275 core 415 mem) with 40.72 dets and I only got a 3Dmark score of around 5700.

with my 4400 ti and using the 40.72`s dets i was getting near enough 11000 since i got the 9700 im only gettin 12250

Shoulda stuck with the TI4400.... they release these new cards and make you think you need them.. I'm sure the Radeon 9700's full power won't be taken advantage of until we hit speeds around 4GHz or more..
