Hello again. I am putting all Windows on all of my pcs. From Win98 to WinXPro.

Now the other pc im about to load up has a new hardrive in it. On this PC I want Windows ME. I have the original disc(not burned, illegal, etc.) but I dont have the floppy(got rid of it by accident).

On this new 30gb hardrive, what do I need to do. Fdisk, format, etc?

All your information is very appreciated

About the cd rom boot. When ever I try it, I get a message "Invalid Boot Diskette, Insert Valid diskette in drive A:" So I went into the system set up and made sure that under boot CDROM was first

Put the Win98 CD in the drive, boot up, it should give you the option to boot with CD-ROM Support.
    Do that
When that is done, put the winME cd in the drive,
    type
    D:\setup.exe

where D is the letter of your CD drive

Bit more on what Geffy said.

When you put the cd in the rom you have to navigate like this>

    D:\cd win9x (enter)
    D:\win9x\setup (enter)

just use a win98 startup disk and boot with CD-ROM support, you have to use a start up disk to load the proper commands to run setup.

yep I agree, with what I said before and what Hipster added, all good, but you will need a floppy with FDISK and FORMAT on it to format the drive, or get the Drive Format util from the drive manufacturer website

    Windows ME?

All is correct...the only confusing thing to me is why you would want ME on anything, unless you like frustration and trouble.

Sorry if I offend and ME lovers out there.
