Is it possible to install XP on a rig with Vista on it? I was thinking of using partition magic to create a small partition for XP, but I'm unsure how XP will go about changing the boot settings with Vista already loaded. I've seen lots of guides about installing Vista with XP already installed, but not vice versa.

Installing XP will overwrite Vista's boot loader with NTLDR, so you'll only be able to boot into XP at first. Then, you should be able to boot up from the Vista DVD and restore the new boot loader, which will add both Vista and XP to the boot menu.

(I haven't tried this out myself, but I don't foresee any problems.)
