Installing old win95,98 programs on xp

can someone tell me if there is really a way to install older programs on the xp o/s because when i do my install it keeps asking me for win95 o/s but im running xp if there is a way to do this install pleas let me know asap thnksssssss

find the EXE of the prog and right click and properties\compatibility, then turn iut on and set it to win 95

That might not 100% work, as XP ain't built to run back end titles.

Here is what I do. I have a small (18GB) partition with windows 98se on it and I install all my old programs there. You could also have one with win95 or just dos.

Try canadian_divx's suggestion first ... if it doesn't help, I guess you'd be forced to dual-boot, as wingman says.
