in one day i lost 220 gigs of data.

    for some reason my 2 120gig wd 8meg catch drives decided to die on me.. i am so confused. they were both full. :(

    wait..... are you confused as to WHY they died, or as to the fact that they died when they were full? Either way, one motto kinda pops into mind.

    im just bitching. i am confused why they died. but somehow they are still under warranty so i wil send them off.

    only thing i am really upset about losing is about 300 megs of pictures.
    sigh oh well lesson learned backup!

    were they on the same power channel? same ide chain?

    on was on a promise controller. the other was on a ide.

    I lost a hard drive like that once. Power went off and came back on in under a second. Next thing I know, me hard drive don't detect no more... :eek:

    My condolences sraycoz, better luck next time. :cool:
