A few days ago Internet Explorer decided it was only going to save pictures from webpages as bitmaps, even when the picture on the site is a jpg. I don't remember changing anything to prompt this, and can't find any setting that might control it.

Just wondering if anyone knows what it is, otherwise I'll just reinstall IE6.......

Or scrap the program and use Mozilla instead =)

As you can tell by now everyone... i am a mozilla preacher =P

Seriously though. IE6 isn't the best browser you can get... its just that a lot of people use it =P

    mozilla all the way =)

I don't know the fix for this but if you want a small (178kb) program (freeware) to covert bmp to jpeg & vice versa I can post it here.

I found the fix on the microsoft does this when the Temporary Internet files folder becomes "full". Why it then decides to save pictures as a larger file I don't know, but it's sorted now.

    Thanks anyway
