Need more info on the problem.

Does it happen often, if yes, how often?
What is the error message that you recieve?
Is it always the same error message?

If this is just a one time or not regularly occurring error, it is probably just
a memory or java error from using chat.

it jus gives one of those errors that says
    send error report
    and dont send
    not sure what its about...
if you want i could take a pic n post it..

Why it's happening? Microsoft is a bunch of tech morons run by a college drop out.

What to do about it? Uninstall and reinstall MSN and IE. Check with M$ and they will tell you the same thing.

    Try turning off error reporting>

    1. Right click on the My Computer icon on the desktop
    2. Select Properties / Advanced
    3. Click on the Error Reporting tab
    4. Check Disable error reporting

    For repairing IE try these>

    Try this to repair IE
    Start/Run/regsvr32 urlmon.dll

    OR

    To reinstall IE
    Start/run/rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 c:\windows\inf\ie.inf

    OR

    Microsoft
