I saw the video, and while I was impressed that it could get up to such speeds without any electronics blocking it from doing so (computer chips normally stop one from reaching such speeds)
I am not impressed with where they did it. At one point he drives REALLY close to a camera sitting what looks like to be on the tarmac. If he had made a small mistake, he would have been gone.
I speed all the time. Baseline, one of the roads here in Arizona is perfectly straight, with a few areas where it is a bit bumpy but for the most part it is a flat road. Posted speed limit is 45 Mph, everyone drives at least 65 Mph. I've driven a lot faster on that road as well. I speed but only when I know it is safe, and to the limits I know I have.
But 219 Mph is insane. Too bad a cop did not pull him over!
