ICS with dial-up

I have a situation where there is an XP Pro machine connected to the internet via dial-up 56K modem. ICS is enabled and the other machines on the network can get access. All the machines are connected through a Linksys DSL/Cable Router. The problem is that the host machine (XP Pro) loses the ICS enabled checkbox. Sometimes the host machine is disconnected because they share that phone line with a fax machine. But whenever they reestablish a connection to the internet, ICS is not enabled. How do I save that setting?

They're using a router because thats all they have. They just moved into this house and they can't get any kind of broadband, but where they moved from they had DSL.

You might wanna see if their ISP supports poor mans ISDN by allowing dialup with 2 modems.

Ah, I was hoping that was the case.

Btw, why do you even consider moving from a broadband house to a non-broadband house? Beats me... ;)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
