Well I thing the forebear of PC hard disks was the Seagate ST506 with 5 MB. Its formula have been retained unchanged since to ST4053 40 Mbyte 5 1/4 inch, full-height. It was about 1989 when I purchased an NIXDORF PC with such a brawly thing.
