So I've been messing with active desktop things and using the famed tutorial for a while now. I recently went to change the file being displayed on my desktop, and realized that the web tab in the customize desktop window has disappeared! My web content has been locked, so I can't close what's open, and I can't change or edit what's being displayed either!

Anyone have any idea how I managed this one?

This registry setting disables the Web tab:

    NoActiveDesktop REG_DWORD 0x00000001 (1)

If you have this value in the registry change it to 0.

Thanks yoyo, but it's still not there. I don't know what I could have done!

I'm going to try setting that to 1 and restarting, then back to 0 and restarting. Maybe that will jump start it back.

Got it back . After some searching on the web, it turns out to be a tweakui for xp thing. I checked lock web content, thinking it did the same thing as the checkbox on the actual web tab...turns out it kills the web tab. :p
