thanks for the offer - but I don't see how running a .bat file (whatever that is) is going to help me trying to create a "homemade XP-cd'.

What I meant was that I understand the command line so I could put the winnt32.exe /s:[path] into a batch file so you could try that.

oh and one thing you might not be aware of, the command line in XP is not DOS, its just a command line, and all XP programs can be run from the command line.

hi damnyank soz i aint bin around been a bit busy im all out of ideas i trawled through inf files what handles winnt32 has open registry keys it opens and dlls it uses and im at odds to what can resolve it maybe someone else has got an idea
