I just got a new WD2000JD and I wanna set it up as a slave... my machine picks it up, but it's not shown in my Explorer, I suppose this is because its not formatted yet.

How do i format from windows? i don't have a floppy at the time...

Control panel/administrative tools/computer management/disk management. You should be able to see it in there & do what you want. If it is not there something is wrong.

in the back next to the IDE connector, there is a small pin connector that connects two pins together. Make sure it is in the right pins. Also make sure your BIOS sees it :D

Yes make sure your "jumper" connection is set to slave (the small pin connectors that Nitris refers to on the back of your hdd) and that your plugged into the middle connector on the ide ribbon and lastly that your bios recognizes it. :)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
