How to prevent...

I would like to know how to prevent any data to be written into it. (Write-protect it)

Oops!
I wanted to know how to prevent files from being written into a folder. (Write-protect)

If you're running XP Pro on NTFS then you can right click on the folder and secure it however you want so only you can put stuff in it using a password (that you oughta write down). If it's a system folder... dunno if that's a good idea.

So I can't do write-protect if I use Fat32 file system?

Nope, fat32 does not support advanced file permissions. There might be a workaround by locking the user out maybe...Just convert to NTFS...everyones doing it..you know you wanna ;)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
